Wales coach Chris Coleman says the hype around Tottenham star Gareth Bale is greater than when Manchester United icon Ryan Giggs was first breaking onto the scene.

Coleman was a Wales teammate of Giggs'.

He said: "When he burst on to the scene, it was the same but he had help. He had Ian Rush, Mark Hughes, Neville Southall. It's different for Baley.

"I don't think people realise how difficult it is for him."
