Coleman hails leadership of Swansea captain Williams

Wales coach Chris Coleman has hailed the leadership of Swansea City captain Ashley Williams.

Coleman hailed skipper Williams for leading by example in terms of the attitude needed for Wales to succeed.

"Ash's leadership has been massive for us," he said. "People think good captaincy is about ranting and raving. But good captains can put their arm around people as well as slamming their hand on the table if needed.

"It's through their actions and performances and Ash does that. The bigger the game, the tougher the opponent, even better, he relishes it.

"We've had some hard times in the two years since I've been here, but he's always there."
