Joe Cole says Liverpool management deserve credit for bringing Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll to the club.
Cole feels the pair can flourish alongside each other in attack and paid tribute to the staff within the Liverpool camp who worked assiduously to land the duo.
He told liverpoolfc.tv: "You've got to credit the people at the club in recruitment. It's so important at Liverpool - you've got to be bringing in the right players.
"Throughout history, the most successful teams have been the ones who have signed the right players.
"So for this club it is important we do that, and with the two signings we made in January we have really strengthened. Those two added to the quality we've got, together we can take the club forward.
"I'm really looking forward to playing with both of them. It's going to be interesting to see how we'll fit them in and what system we're going to play."
