Jack Colback has been snubbed by Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce.
The midfielder is missing from Newcastle's 25-man Premier League squad - spelling an end to his career on Tyneside.
The Toon midfielder, 29, has just one year left on his contract at St James' Park.
And although Colback could, in theory, win his squad place back in January, he is likely to have played his last game for his hometown team.
With the Premier League and Championship transfer windows shut, he will now be left in Newcastle's reserves unless he gets a move abroad or is prepared to drop down to League One.
