Stoke City chairman Petet Coates is delighted for their World Cup players.
Coates has been proud watching his Stoke players make history in South America.
Asmir Begovic, Geoff Cameron, Wilson Palacios and Peter Odemwingie have followed in the footsteps of Gordon Banks, Sammy McIlroy and Tommy Sorensen by representing the club at a World Cup finals.
Coates told The Sentinel: "It's terrific for the club, and they've all done very well to get to Brazil.
"Asmir did well for Bosnia, and it was great to see Peter play so well for Nigeria and get on the scoresheet.
"It was a shame for Wilson that he got a red card, but that's football.
"The United States' second-round tie with Belgium was a fantastic match, and Geoff was very unlucky to be knocked out in the end. It was a great team effort."
