Conor Coady is happy to follow the example of senior Liverpool teammate Jamie Carragher.
The U18's captain has recently earned rave reviews for his performances at the heart of John McMahon's reserve team after initially catching the eye as a central midfielder.
He told Liverpoolfc.tv: "I get asked about my position quite a lot. To be honest it really doesn't bother me. I'd play in goal if that's where the coach thought I would help the team!
"As long as I'm playing I'm happy. I like playing centre midfield and at the back, so I'll play wherever I'm needed.
"I've had chats with Rodolfo and John McMahon and they've said that they see me as a centre half in the long term.
"I know Jamie Carragher did a similar thing by playing in midfield for the U18s and then moving into defence - if I can do half as well as he has done I'll be delighted."
