Clinical Man City put five past Birmingham

Manchester City have scored 14 goals in their last three games including this 5-1 home victory over Birmingham. The game sprang to life just before the break with four goals in five minutes as City showed their clinical finishing.

Carlos Tevez fired the home side ahead from the spot after Scott Dann bundled over Emmanuel Adebayor inside the area for a soft penalty award.

A flurry of goals followed, with Nedum Onuoha heading home a second and, after Cameron Jerome pulled one back for the visitor's, Adebayor tapped in a Craig Bellamy cross to make it 3-1 at half- time.

Onuoha got his second with a solo effort before Adebayor ran clear to add a late fifth and consolidate City's Champions League position.
