Gael Clichy insists Manchester City will be back next season.

Clichy, 29, believes it will be a different story next season with City returning to winning ways as title terminators.

Clichy said: "Even if we can't win anything this season we owe it to our fans to end on a high. If I was a fan, the one thing I would want to see is a player giving everything.

"We want to finish on a high and take that into next season when we aim to come back and play the way we know we can consistently."
