Manchester United's youngsters suffered humiliation at the hands of Crewe Alexandra U18 yesterday.
United's young stars were thrashed 5-1 by Alex.
The highly-rated Max Clayton netted a hat-trick for Crewe.
Ryan Tunnicliffe did eventually score for United on 72 minutes, with a volley from the edge of the area, but by then Crewe were already 4-0 up thanks to goals by Luke George, Brendan Daniels and a brace from Clayton. The latter completed his hat-trick, and the scoring, in second-half injury-time as United slumped to a third straight league defeat.
