Birmingham City boss Lee Clark says former club Newcastle United have struggled without Yohan Cabaye.
Cabaye was sold to PSG in January.
Clark told the Evening Chronicle: "Obviously when you lose a talisman, a top-quality player, like Cabaye it is going to affect everyone. They didn't bring anybody in to replace him.
"Even if they had they would have found it difficult to replace somebody of that quality.
"Once they did it was always going to prove difficult.
"He was the main man in terms of scoring goals and making goals.
"He was the centre point for the team and everything went though him.
"You don't get the chance to join one of football's super powers if you aren't a top player though."
