Brighton striker Jurgen Locadia has joined Major League Soccer side FC Cincinnati for the rest of the season.

The attacker will be with the American side until July.

There is also an option for Cincinnati to make the deal permanent, if Locadia meets expectations.

Technical director Dan Ashworth said, "Jurgen has been given an exciting opportunity to play in the MLS, and it is one he was keen to take.

"We will be monitoring his progress in the United States with interest and we wish him well for the next few months."
