Chivas USA forward Justin Braun was named the Week 9 MLS Player of the Week for his hat-trick against New York Red Bulls.
The 24-year old was the key as the Goats twice gave up the lead at Red Bull Arena before Braun's third goal clinched the 3-2 victory in the 56th minute.
Braun's first goal was a nice finish after he received a pass from Nick LaBrocca before curling past Bouna Coundoul in just the sixth minute and he then double his tally just after the half-hour mark from a Heath Pearce free-kick.
As the Red Bulls rallied twice through Thierry Henry and Dwayne De Rosario, Braun overshadowed his more famous opponents with a match-winning tap-in to attract the votes of the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR).
Braun joins a host of goalscorers who have so far won the MLS Player of the Week award.
