Chivas USA's Bornstein set for last MLS game

Chivas USA left-back Jonathan Bornstein will play his final MLS match on the weekend ahead of his move to Mexico next season. The 25-year old USA international is looking forward to a new challenge with Monterrey Tigres and will bid farewell to his sole MLS home when Chivas take on Chicago Fire at The Home Depot Center this weekend.

"I'm ready for that new challenge, that new experience, the change in lifestyle and ultimately learning about the culture and finally the soccer," he said. "I'm just really looking forward to playing in that league and getting better as a player."

Bornstein admits his decision to remain close to his home town of Torrance, California throughout his career so far was not for a fear of moving away but purely because all of his soccer opportunities were nearby.

"It's come to a time in my life where I'm about ready to do that.

"I never shied away from moving away - it's just the opportunities that arose for me in terms of where to go play for college, in terms of playing professionally, were within the general location of Southern California," he added.

"If anything I was lucky not to move far away. I've had the opportunity to travel the world with Chivas and the U.S. national team.

"So I've seen the world in that respect, but never had to leave home."
