Chivas USA's Agudelo gets MLS Player of the Week nod

Chivas USA forward Juan Agudelo has been named the MLS Player of the Week for Week 4 of the 2013 season.

The 20-year old helped the Goats to a 4-1 victory by scoring one goal and assisting on another against Chicago Fire at Toyota Park on Sunday.

Agudelo teed up Edgar Mejia for his sublime 57th-minute opener with a visionary pass from the right side of the penalty area before Patrick Nyarko responded for the Fire seven minutes later.

Joaquin Velazquez edged Chivas ahead with a backpost header in the 73rd minute before Agudelo doubled their advantage two minutes later.

The youngster edged out Fire's Jeff Larentowicz to control Jorge Villafana's aerial ball before turning and curling around Paolo Tornaghi with a sublime finish.

An own-goal from Jalil Anibaba allowed Chivas to secure a three-goal victory with Agudelo talking week 4 honours as voted by a panel of journalists from the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR).
