Chivas USA are on the hunt for a new head coach after Jose Luis 'Guero' Real took the same position at sister club CD Guadalajara.
The 61-year old, who took charge of the Goats for most of the 2013 season, has returned to Mexico to oversee Las Chivas following the departure of Juan Carlos Ortega.
Real follows Francisco 'Paco' Palencia back to Guadalajara after he took up the sporting director job recently.
"We worked on the first stage of a project that will show results in three years," Real told reporters in Guadalajara.
"It's been the most difficult stage. We, as much Paco Palencia as myself, left everything ready for the new season."
Real saw Chivas finish bottom of the Western Conference table in 2013 with a paltry record of six wins, eight draws and 20 losses from 34 matches.
