Chivas USA have indicated that they will not be with head coach Preki next season.

The former US national team winger will not be retained by Chivas according to a source close to the situation.

It is believed that Chicago Fire are keen on the 46-year old but the fact they are close to an MLS Cup final berth means current coach Denis Hamlett looks a safe bet to keep his job.

Preki is also believed to be a candidate, along with outgoing DC United coach Tom Soehn, for the assistant's role under Bob Bradley with the US national team.
