Chivas USA bring in Rivero from Colorado Rapids

Chivas USA have announced the acquisition of Martin Rivero from the Colorado Rapids.

The Goats have signed the 24-year old Argentine midfielder from the Denver club in exchange for Fourth-Round pick in the 2015 Major League Soccer SuperDraft.

Rivero arrives in Los Angeles as the fourth Argentine in Wilmer Cabrera's squad, joining compatriots Mauro Rosales, Agustin Pelletieri and Leandro Barrera at the StubHub Center.

"Martin is a very talented player who already knows the League," said Cabrera.

"His personality, technical ability and energy will help us a lot. He is a hard and relentless worker on the field, always looking to gain and maintain possession, an area we need to improve. Once settled, he will blend in well with our current players and make us a better team."

After joining Colorado from Rosario Central in 2012, Rivero made a total of 48 appearances for the Rapids, scoring three goals and providing seven assists.
