Socceroos veteran Scott Chipperfield has hit a rich vein of form recently, scoring five goals in his last seven games. Following up from his winning header in Australia's World Cup qualifier against Uzbekistan last week, Chipperfield netted in the 84th minute to help Swiss Super League club FC Basel to a 2-0 victory over Lucerne. The win puts Basel five points clear on top of the league table and gives them plenty of confidence going into tonight's group stage fixture against Shakhtar Donetsk of the Ukraine in Group C of the European Champions League. Chipperfield has scored four times for FC Basel in the Swiss Super League from six matches so far this season.
