Adelaide United have agreed a two-year sponsorship deal with Chinese property developer Datong, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The firm's Australian arm will serve as a sleeve sponsor of the A-League side until the end of the 2015/16 season.
As part of the tie-up, the Reds will look to boost their Asian profile by playing games in China.
Adelaide United's chairman, Greg Griffin, said: "We are delighted to be the first Australian football club in a major national sporting competition to secure a major Chinese company as a significant sponsor.
"Datong is a major developer in China and has already built prestigious apartments and commercial buildings in Adelaide."
"Through our support of Adelaide United, Datong will play a major and important role in growing the game across the entire state whilst being involved with the local community," added Datong's chairman, Jin Liang.
