Real Madrid striker Javier Hernandez admits his family helped him through his tough times this season.
The on-loan Manchester United forward is now being celebrated after hitting a rich seam of goalscoring form.
"I was more than depressed, I was frustrated," Chicharito told AS.
"I wanted to help the team. It was not a nice situation. I did not say anything with any intention. I particularly remember my parents and my sister, who accompanied me in my European adventure.
"My cousin Paola, who is in Tabasco, helped me when everything went wrong. I wondered to myself if I had the talent to play in Madrid. They told me, 'You are silly, if you're there it is because they want you'.
"I am now happy."
