Chicago Fire waives midfielder Davis Paul

The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced today that the club has waived rookie midfielder Davis Paul.

"We want to thank Davis for his contributions to the Chicago Fire and wish him the best of luck in his next venture," said Fire Technical Director and Interim Head Coach Frank Klopas.

Paul was the 15th selection in third round (51st overall) of the 2011 MLS SuperDraft. The Upland, California product appeared in one match during his tenure with the Men in Red, playing 45 minutes against the LA Galaxy April 17.
