Chester boss McIntyre hails impact of Everton youngster Tyrer

On-loan Everton goalkeeper Harry Tyrer was delighted to help Chester defeat Scarborough Athletic.

Chester managed a 3-1 win, moving the team to within four points of top spot in the National League North table.

Tyrer's performance helped Chester end Scarborough's 26-man unbeaten run at home.

The keeper headed over to the away fans to celebrate the result at the final whistle.

Speaking about Tyrer earlier this year, Chester boss McIntyre said: “I am really pleased to bring Harry to the club. He has an enormous pedigree.

“He has been on the bench for a Premier League club 17 times. I think that speaks volumes. The way Everton speak about him tells you how highly rated he is there.

“He has really impressed performance wise, but I knew that because we do our due diligence on players we bring in. But he is a really good character and personality. It makes us stronger in the goalkeeping department."
