In the wake of the 1-0 win over QPR on Suday, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was full of praise for his old guards Didier Drogba and John Terry.
In the absence of first and second choice strikers Diego Costa and Loic Remy respectively, Mourinho decided to start with veteran Drogba as the frontman against the R's at Loftus Road.
Blues boss Mourinho praised the performance of both Drogba and captain Terry, telling Sky Sports: "He (Drogba) is a fantastic example for us when we needed a big personality to step up.
"As John (Terry) did, very safe, very calm and controlled."
The win allowed Chelsea to remain seven points clear of second-placed Arsenal as their pursuit of the Premier League title stays well and truly alive.
