Chelsea winger Moses: 'I didn't look back'

Victor Moses has praised Chelsea manager Antonio Conte for giving him a chance to succeed at Stamford Bridge.

Back in August 2012, Chelsea paid €11.5m to Wigan for Moses's services. After spending his debut season in London as a 21-year old, the Nigerian was sent out on loan for the next three seasons, with stops at Liverpool, West Ham and Stoke.

This season, however, Moses has finally found himself at home, having appeared mainly as a starter in his 32 Premier League matches for Chelsea.

The catalyst for his change has been down to Blues manager Antonio Conte's 3-4-3 system. Where as Moses had previously played as a winger, Conte has deployed him as a wing-back, a role which Moses says he is relishing.

"We have a manager here willing to give everybody an opportunity — he gave me one and I didn't look back," said Moses.

"He didn't say to me, 'Do you fancy playing wing-back?' He just put me in there.

"After that, he kept on encouraging me and went through it with me. What the position was all about, mostly in training.

"It was a new manager giving me the opportunity to express myself — and I am enjoying it."
