Chelsea are planning a swap offer for Everton star Ross Barkley. The People says Romelu Lukaku will be allowed to quit Chelsea and join Everton this summer - but only if Jose Mourinho lands Barkley in return.
The Portuguese regards Barkley as a natural successor to Frank Lampard, who is set to quit the Stamford Bridge side for Major League Soccer's LA Galaxy.
That has raised the prospect of a move south for Barkley, with the Toffees' manager Roberto Martinez also keen to land Lukaku on a permanent basis.
