Chelsea will force Frank Arnesen to wait to take up his new job at Hamburg.
The Mirror says Chelsea will make the Dane wait until the end of the season before he joins German giants Hamburg as general manager.
Arnesen was hoping to make an early exit for his new job - along with chief scout Lee Congerton - but the Stamford Bridge club want him to work out his contract with them.
He will continue with his duties as sporting director, while Congerton is set for a spell of gardening leave - with Chelsea worried that the pair may have chased some of their potential targets if they had gone sooner.
