Chelsea title win bittersweet for club legend Drogba

Chelsea's Premier League title win proved to be bittersweet for Didier Drogba as the veteran is set to leave Stamford Bridge after his second spell at the club.

The 37-year old announced the news of his departure prior to kick-off and lasted only half an hour against Sunderland before he was ceremoniously carried off by his team-mates during the substitution.

"We won it in the best way possible. It's one of the best ways to celebrate and cheer with our fans," said Drogba after the game.

"It's a sad day but at the same time one of the best days in Chelsea's history. We have had fun all year and even in the difficult moments we have stuck together - that's what made us champions."

He also confirmed his move away from the Blues: "We had a good talk with the club and Jose [Mourinho] and all of us agree that if I want to play and get a bit more minutes, I have the possibility to go somewhere else.

"I want to carry on playing, but the connection with the club is there and always will be there."
