Chelsea target Javier Pastore has pledged his commitment to Palermo.
When rumours circulated that Carlo Ancelotti wanted him at Stamford Bridge, many expected the Rosanero to cash in.
"I was very pleased to hear that I was of interest to a great club like Chelsea, but I am truly happy to be here," insisted Pastore in the Giornale di Sicilia newspaper.
"Palermo made it very clear they wanted me and were the first to make an offer. Now it's my turn, I want to pay them back for their faith in me. I really hope my year has begun.
"I want to repay everyone, from my teammates to the Coach and the club. I'd love to play more and hopefully from the first minute, but I know that to improve I must work without respite, make sacrifices and use all my willpower. It is what I want to do."
