Liverpool star Jordan Henderson is after a massive contract in order to remain with Liverpool.

The Daily Mail is reporting that the 24-year old midfielder has turned down a five-year deal, £80,000-a-week with the Reds.

It is believed that vice-captain Henderson, who has just over 12 months to run on his £60,000-a-week contract, wants closer to £100k weekly.

The former Sunderland man has emerged as a target for Premier League leaders Chelsea but talks regarding a new deal with Liverpool are ongoing and all it needs to reach an agreement is an improved offer from the Merseysiders.
