Chelsea striker Werner, Man City's Gundogan score in Germany thrashing of Latvia

Chelsea striker Timo Werner was on the scoresheet as Germany claimed an emphatic 7-1 win over Latvia.

First-half strikes from Robin Gosens, Manchester City's Ilkay Gundogan, Bayern Munich stars Thomas Muller and Serge Gnabry and an own goal put the game to bed by the interval.

Chelsea striker Timo Werner and Leroy Sane then made it seven in the second half.

It was the perfect confidence boosting win for Germany ahead of their Euro 2020 campaign.

Joachim Low's side will take on Hungary in their opening group game on June 15.
