The nominations for the Barclays U21 Player of the Year have been released.

A short-list of six players have been nominated for the best player award in the U21 league which was last season won by Manchester United.

Chelsea striker Dom Solanke leads the list ahead of Liverpool winger Harry Wilson with both players enjoying standout seasons at their respective clubs.

Also on the list is Sunderland's Duncan Watmore, Fulham's Ange-Freddy Plumain, prolific Southampton striker Ryan Seager and Arsenal winger Daniel Crowley.
