Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku admits his loan spell at West Bromwich Albion has gone better than expected.

The £18m signing from Anderlecht scored his 10th Premier League goal of the campaign at Liverpool, despite making just 11 top flight starts.

"This year has been wonderful," said Lukaku, who is pushing for a start against Sunderland on Saturday.

"When I joined, I wasn't sure we would be this high in the league, but after three games I knew we were capable and I knew it was going to be good for me."
