Chelsea fullback Ryan Bertrand has hit out at the refereeing for Team GB's 1-1 draw with Senegal.

Craig Bellamy and Joe Allen limped out of Great Britain's 1-1 draw at Old Trafford as victims of the Africans' tough tactics.

Bertrand, 22, said: "There were some horrific challenges. I was fearing for my safety.

"I have cuts on my shoulder and I am sure Bellers is feeling down.

"It was lucky Tayls jumped for one tackle - if he hadn't he could have been really hurt."
