Chelsea and Tottenham are battling for Barcelona teenager Gai Assulin.

The News of the World says the Nahariya-born star, who is represented by Israeli super-agent Pini Zahavi, is now ready to leave Spain with London his favoured destination.

Zahavi, who took Giovani Dos Santos to Tottenham last summer, is now hoping to succeed in persuading Spurs boss Harry Redknapp to make an offer for the want-away star.

But Chelsea, who already have Israeli starlet Ben Sahar at the club, could make a move for the talented midfielder in the January transfer window.
