Chelsea skipper Terry: No chance for holiday

Chelsea skipper John Terry admits there was no chance of him putting his feet up over Christmas.

Terry revealed he works overtime on his days off because he fears for his place in the team. He was handed a break by Jose Mourinho at the start of this month but used it by running at altitude in mountains in Europe.

He explained to Chelsea TV : "With the young players in the side and me fighting for my place, I did some extra running. Years ago I'd go away and not do anything but nowadays with the new generation of players, you do a lot of running instead."
