Chelsea captain John Terry has backed owner Roman Abramovich ruthless approach to managers.
Terry insists managers "will come and go" at Stamford Bridge.
He said: "We'll work hard under Benitez and fight for this club. Managers will come and go, players will come and go.
"But the things that will always remain are the fans and this football club. We need to cement what Chelsea Football Club is about.
"We showed great character against United and Bucharest.
"One thing you say about the club and the players here is we're mentally very strong.
"We've dealt with ups and downs season after season and we'll always remain together."
