Chelsea's Mourinho sees 'remarkable' Drogba remaining at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was full of praise for Didier Drogba after he scored in Wednesday night's 3-0 win over Tottenham.

The veteran striker fired the Blues ahead by two goals in the 22nd minute at Stamford Bridge after he set up Eden Hazard for the opener a few minutes earlier and his performance was lauded by his boss who was in awe of Drogba's ability.

"It's remarkable," Mourinho said.

"First of all he's a team player. After that he's one of these old days mentality. Not selfish, not vain. A humble guy, who plays for the team, fights for the team. Fantastic."

Mourinho also suggested that Drogba, who returned to Stamford Bridge in the summer, could step into a managerial role with the west London club once his stunning playing career finishes.

"I was expecting exactly this. The important thing is that he's here and he's going to finish his career with Chelsea," he added.

"It looks, for me, that he's going to stay doing other things when he finishes his career.

"It will be his decision when he decides when to stop as a player. It will be something personal."
