Patrick Bamford has revealed that he will undergo a scan to assess the extent of damage to his ankle.
The Chelsea striker, who has been starring on loan for Middlesbrough this season, sustained an injury in Friday's 1-0 win at Norwich City which saw him replaced by Kike in the 85th minute.
The newly-crowned SkyBet Championship Player of the Year says he will have treatment on Monday while praising Boro's defence for keeping their title hopes alive.
"I've got a scan on Monday and it's a bit sore but I'll try and play on," said Bamford.
"It was massive win for us at Norwich on Friday. It wasn't our best game of the season, but we have the best defensive record and you saw why.
"We were brilliant...Gibbo (Ben Gibson), Dani Ayala and Fernando (Amorebieta), who came on at the end, were rocks at the back."
