Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has not penned himself in for England's World Cup squad just yet. Despite being a first team regular and one of the most important players in the squad, Lampard is not taking his current position in the team for granted according to his father, the famous Frank Lampard Senior.
"Frank isn't thinking he's there. If he did, he would put his place in jeopardy," said his dad.
"Capello isn't that sort of manager. He will keep everyone guessing, a bit like Sir Alf Ramsey.
"Bobby Moore always said that about Ramsey back in 1966 - that you never knew if you'd be in.
"I think top, top managers have that about them, they make you worried about your place and it keeps players on their toes.
"If you get your feet under the table then performance levels can drop five or ten per cent. You can't do that with Capello."
