Chelsea's Ivanovic keen to move on from Suarez biting incident

Branislav Ivanovic has spoken for the first time since he was bitten on the arm by Liverpool's Luis Suarez.

The Chelsea defender was the subject of a bizarre act by the Uruguayan ace during the 2-2 draw at Anfield on April 21 which landed the culprit a 10-match ban.

Ivanovic admitted he was shocked at the bite but has since forgiven Suarez and is keen to move on from the incident.

"When it happened I was really surprised and of course shocked," he told Serbian newspaper Vecernje Novosti.

"But when the match ended, it all cooled down. I almost forgot about everything.

"The next day we talked on the phone and I accepted his apology. I didn't attack him for what he done but I also didn't defend him.

"But I forgive him. For me, that can happen. But I really don't care too much."
