The Sun says Chelsea are ready to close a deal for Hartlepool keeper Young .

Young, 17, has been at the club on trial for the past two weeks and a provisional fee is already agreed.

He wasn't in Pools' squad for yesterday's 1-1 draw at National League opponents Sutton United in front of almost 3,000 fans.

The 6ft 4ins teenager has been on the books at Pools for over five years.
