Chelsea ramp up pursuit of QPR's Remy

Chelsea are hoping to sign QPR striker Loic Remy following the departure of Fernando Torres.

Reports are suggesting that the Blues have enquired about the Frenchman after it was confirmed that they had agreed a two-year loan deal with AC Milan for Spaniard Torres.

Remy's future at Loftus Road has been unclear for some time and it still looks likely that he will be on his way out following his successful loan spell at Newcastle United last term.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Remy, who scored 14 goals for the Magpies last term, is determined to leave the R's in order to join a Champions League club.

It is believed that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is open to either a permanent move or a loan for the former Marseille forward.
