Chelsea are reportedly preparing a huge offer for Valencia striker David Villa. The Spaniard has been strongly linked with a move to England recently, mainly with Manchester City, but is believed Chelsea have put together a very lucrative deal.

Villa has said that he would like to see out his contract with Valencia (which expires in 2014), but the Blues will test the Spanish club's financial position with the huge dangling carrot.

Chelsea are determined to make a big-name signing and with Valencia believed to be in financial difficulty, it seems a likely scenario that the 27-year old may find his way to Stamford Bridge in the not too distant future.
