Chelsea are lining up a bid for Benfica fullback Fabio Coentrao.
With doubts over the future of Jose Bosingwa and Yury Zhirkov, Chelsea are being linked with Portugal international defender Coentrao.
Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira is understood to want at least £26m for the defender but reports in Portugal have predicted that Chelsea are considering a summer bid of around the £23m mark.
Manchester United have also been linked with Coentrao this season.
