Premier League champions Chelsea are considering a shock move for Victor Valdes.

According to the Daily Mail, the Blues are pondering the possibility of bringing in the Manchester United goalkeeper to Stamford Bridge on an emergency loan.

Jose Mourinho is concerned that an injury to Asmir Begovic may leave Chelsea short in the keeping department with number one Thibaut Courtois expected to be sidelined for the next 10 weeks.

The West London club have had 21-year-old Jamal Blackman on the bench behind Begovic in recent matches and it has been reported that Mourinho has his eye on a number of experienced glovemen to fill the void including Spaniard Valdes, Inter Milan's Juan Pablo Carrizo, Miguel Angel Moya of Atletico Madrid and FC Porto veteran Helton.
