Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata was well aware of the transfer speculation swirling around him over the summer.
Arsenal, Liverpool and PSG were among the clubs ready to offer Mata an escape route, but the 25-year-old has since indicated he is happy to fight for his place in the team.
He said: "I think it's normal in every transfer window that there are lots of rumours but I'm happy.
"It's been a very, very good two seasons for me, maybe the best of my career, and what I want this season is the same."
