Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has apologised to AC Milan teammates and coach Rino Gattuso for his poor timekeeping.

The Frenchman was over an hour late for training on Wednesday, which saw a furious Gattuso order the entire Milan squad into ritiro.

It's since emerged Bakayoko was late due to his car breaking down.

Sport Mediaset says Bakayoko's apology was accepted by the squad and 'appreciated' by Gattuso.

The players are now in camp until Monday night's game with Bologna.
