Chelsea No2 Ray Wilkins says management were delighted with the return of Paulo Ferreira and Joe Cole in their Cup win over QPR.

"I thought Joe and Paulo did very well indeed," commended Wilkins.

"It is never easy when you are coming back from a cruciate ligament injury. Thankfully I have never had one, but they have to put a lot of hard work in to get themselves back to the physical level that is required to play professional football.

"Carlo straight away said Joe will be captain in this game and I think he wanted the English influence running through again. I thought it would be either Joe or Paulo but Carlo plumped for Joe."
