Chelsea are emerging as favourites to sign Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele.

The Blues are said to be closing in on a deal to make the forward the first signing of the new Todd Boehly era, with Dembele available on a free transfer.

Dembele has previously worked under Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, who brought him to Borussia Dortmund back in 2016, and the two could now be reunited at Stamford Bridge.

Reporter Alex Crook told talkSPORT: "This one has really taken off overnight.

"Chelsea look like they are favourites to sign Ousmane Dembele on a free transfer.

"He's been letting his contract run down at Barcelona and he would be the first signing of the Todd Boehly era.
