Chelsea will offer John Obi Mikel in order to land Morgan Schneiderlin from Southampton.

The Sun reports that the Blues are determined to land French midfielder Schneiderlin in the summer transfer window and could do so by sending Nigeria international Mikel the other way.

28-year old Mikel has been at Stamford Bridge since 2006 but has managed just four Premier League starts under Jose Mourinho this season and could be offloaded in a bid to lure Schneiderlin to west London from St Mary's.
